Why Do We Keep Airfare Separate?

Flying in an aircraft may mean different things to different people. It is an experience that is surprisingly personal - even as you share the space with several hundred other travellers. Some of our guests place value in the loyalty points they earn with a particular airline, while others may place value in booking a specific seat class at the lowest possible price. At the heart of it, we want to be transparent and allow guests to book whichever seat fits their need, without a concern of any mark-up from Momiji & Maple.
There’s the added flexibility too that our guests appreciate. If they should opt to make changes to their seat or even their flight, they are able to do so directly with the airline rather than having to go through a third-party platform, adding an extra layer of complexity, as well as having to pass along payment information back and forth. In addition, when flights are booked with specific travel credit cards, there are typically travel insurance perks such as if luggage takes a little longer to arrive or if a flight gets delayed beyond a certain timeframe. We want our guests to be able to take full advantage of these added benefits.
To provide a sense of calm as part of reserving your spot on our Momiji & Maple Experiences, we will make recommendations on which flights to take to ensure you will be able to join us for everything our experiences have to offer. We generally recommend our guests book directly with the airline and if they would prefer to have some assistance, to book with a trusted travel agent as a secondary option. With our suggestions on flights, it can be as easy as walking in with the specific flight you have in mind and letting them know, pay and be out the door within 15 minutes.
